We’re aware that long-time fans of the Gran Turismo series strongly desired the return of the GT Campaign mode*, and now, having seen the trailer, hopefully everyone will be able to get a feel for the atmosphere of the newly designed Campaign mode. In the same spirit, the GT Campaign mode is also a place where individual players will take their own unique journeys and gain life learning experiences. GT7 is both the culmination of the series which answers the expectations of GT fans throughout the years, and at the same time it is a title that marks a beginning of a difficult mission to contain the full breadth of car culture from the past into a single video game. The objective for GT7 in current culture today, is to design a game to convey everything from the last 150 years of car and racing culture, whether you are a lifelong fan or discovering cars for the first time. opening scene of GTsport, says something like "driving's for everyone" or "everyone's welcome" - its their tagline.The cultural environment surrounding cars has changed greatly in the past 25 years. Those of us who were born in the rich car culture of the times created the first Gran Turismo game, so it may be difficult for the current generation of automotive purists to be in the same type of cultural environment as ourselves back then. Hope this settles people fears in regards to "its hardcore sim" compared to "arcade". In gt sport, they gave you 1 car in each class, and you could earn more from there. With gt sport, and i presume GT7 also, they give you at least a couple sports cars to get you started,
So, it was a delight to find this system of 2 ranks, skill & driving style taken into consideration with the online matchmaking algorithm.Īlso 1 more good point in the GTsport, and we presume, GT7, is that I found the old GT's somewhat boring, as you had to earn the good cars, which for a crap player, could be weeks of driving round in a 5 door family wagon, very sloooow
I know, because i'm crap, I was crap at all the old GTS'S before, and was worried also. Now that's not to say, sometimes 1 player is way out in front, that does happen, but mostly, like over 90%, will be tight, closely matched races. I've had some of the best racing, infact, straight up, THE BEST racing of my 20 years gaming on GTsport, The outcome of this, is, 'always' tight races, photo finishes & racing to the very end line, to the chequered flag as it were 2 abreast down the final straight. So for 1st example, if you are good, really skillfull, but barge people into barriers, and play rough, it'l match you against 19 other players, who are also really good, but will barge you off the road!! so yehh, enjoy your race!!Įxample 2, you are okay, or poor & unskilled, but play nice, it will match you against, you guessed it, players of your level, who also try their best to race and not barge too much.
